A few weeks back I published a review of Social Studies, a film noir short, shot and directed by Sanford D Jenkins. Earlier this week, Jenkins decided to release the short to the public via his Vimeo account.
Social Studies details the life of a twenty-something New Yorker named Scout. Scout has recently lost her grandmother and is having a tough time coming to grips with the death. Scout’s work and social life are pushed aside as she tries to find ways to cope. In the film Jenkins explores the use of faulty pacifiers that many of us use when dealing with hardships. Check out the video below and find out what it took for scout to overcome.
